Mississippi-born, Colombian-raised composer/singer/musician Daniel Guaqueta brings a combination of sounds to each composition, grazing the worlds of cumbia, electronica, pop, rock, avant-garde, and ambient. Where his urban travels have constructed his technical aptitude, his Colombian heritage provides a unique spirituality and sense of purpose to his music. Regularly in and out of the studio, Daniel is constantly reworking the visual and audial elements of his music, as evidenced by his evolving music videos. Guaqueta has written and released music with Questions in Dialect, MERMEN, Buddy & The Squids, Mainframe Theory and Storage 24. His most noted collaborations include a Spanish single "Sunshines" co-written with Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas (MUTEMATH), touring with Chris Staples, co-writing the single "Aladandy" with 7even:Thirty, & writing music with Mississippi star rapper Kamikaze. In the studio, he’s refined his talent recording his music with veteran engineers such as Bob Weston (Nirvana) and Andy Baker (Drive By Truckers).
